Love Island couple Jessica Shears and Dominic Lever admit they will start trying for a baby next year
LOVE Island couple Jess Shears and Dom Lever have admitted they want to have kids “imminently.”
The loved-up pair, who met on the ITV2 dating show, said that they have already started planning their family – as Dom turns 30 in four years.
In an exclusive interview at the TV Choice Awards on Monday, Dom said: “We are planning to have kids ASAP. Honestly I just want them now, I’m game.
“Jess keeps reminding me I’m almost 30 and need to be a dad soon.”
Jess added: “I keep telling him that if he doesn’t have children now, he’s going to be this age when they leave school which means he won’t be able to retire and I put it all out on the time scale.
“We both really want kids, we love them.”
The couple also confessed that it’s only a “matter of time” before they get engaged – and they can’t ever imagine being apart.
Dom revealed: “We have talked about engagement and it’s a progression.
“It’s definitely something we are thinking about – when you know you know don’t you. It’s only a matter of time.”
And Jess added: “I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone else.”

The pair even admitted that they are hoping to follow in the footsteps of co-stars Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes – and get their own TV show.
Dom said: “We could do a newlyweds show!”
Jess added: “Honestly it would be so good. We would love to do a series.
“There would be so much bickering and play fighting – he’s the biggest wind-up merchant you’ve ever met.
“He bugs me for the fun of it and we end up having these play flights –like I tore my toe nail off the other day."
The couple also opened about being bombarded by cruel messages online about their relationship – but that they support each other through it each day.
Dom said: “We are very loved-up despite what everyone thinks. We’re amazing.
“It’s nice to have Jess around, she calms me down. Like when I want to comment on a troll and I think ‘I could proper rip you here’ – Jess tells me not to.
“The show was so big this year so everyone gets hate – even Kem and Chris and Liv and all them getting awful comments.”
Jess added: “I just say ‘no what’s the point? We’re doing our thing, having fun and it doesn’t matter what everyone else thinks.”
