I’m A Celebrity winner Scarlett Moffatt lands presenting job on ITV2 spin-off show Extra Camp
SCARLETT MOFFATT ate camel nipples and turkey testicles while on I’m A Celebrity last year.
That hasn’t put the Queen of the Jungle off though, as she’s heading back this winter.
But she won’t be sleeping in a camp bed.
The former Goggleboxer has landed the job of hosting ITV2 spin-off show Extra Camp.
She will replace axed Geordie pair VICKY PATTISON and CHRIS RAMSEY, who were both let go after just one year in the job, where they worked alongside STACEY SOLOMON and JOE SWASH, who has been on the show since 2009.
A source said: “This is a huge gig for Scarlett and one she’s worked hard to get.
“Last year’s show was just a bit too chaotic for producers, so they wanted to switch things up.
“The current plan is to have Scarlett host the show alongside two other presenters.
“At the moment that is most likely to see Stacey return with her boyfriend Joe as they were happy with them last time round.
“It’s a massive test for Scarlett but ITV were chuffed with her in the jungle and the job she did on Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway so think she’s well worth the punt.”
Since finding fame on Channel 4’s Gogglebox with her witty one-liners, Scarlett has been ket very busy in her short showbiz career.
After winning I’m A Celebrity last year beating comedian JOEL DOMMETT and Emmerdale’s ADAM THOMAS, she was flooded with job offers.
In January she helped to present the National Television Awards with DERMOT O’LEARY, and she replaced DAVINA McCALL as the face of Streetmate when the Nineties show was revived by Channel 4.
Other job offers will have to wait until 2018 now, as in November she will be off to Australia for six weeks for the show which goes out every night.
At least she’ll have a lovely tan for Christmas.

Ben's change of direction
HE’S already played two characters on Emmerdale and been in Hollyoaks and Coronation Street, but soap operas aren’t fulfilling enough for ambitious BEN GERRARD.
He has his sights set on making an impression in a very different show.
I am told the actor, who most recently starred as Ashley’s carer Will in the ITV soap, has a passion for singing and auditioned for the current X Factor series.
A source said: “He impressed the judges with his voice. They didn’t have a clue about his acting background or that he’d been on Emmerdale.”
Ben’s first appearance on the soap came five years ago, when he played flirty Luke, whose designs on Chas made killer Cameron jealous.
Ben, who has also appeared in Shameless, might have got some X Factor tips from STACEY SOLOMON, after he also featured opposite her in TV adverts for the Iceland store chain.
There will be party food all round if he gets through to the live shows.
Biz bit
SINITTA doesn’t want to see CHERYL as SIMON COWELL’s special guest at Judges’ Houses for The X Factor.
At Tuesday’s Retribution premiere, Sinitta said: “She needs to stay in her lane a little bit. I love you Chez but don’t even go there.”
Mel's red-dy for battle
MEL B has perfected the art of putting her game face on in recent months.
She looked confident as she returned to the America’s Got Talent live shows this week in a low-cut dress and with flame-red hair.
Her appearance came as estranged husband STEPHEN BELAFONTE has filed fresh legal papers against her.
He wants their bitter divorce case heard in open court, while Mel had asked for it to be in secret, amid allegations of wild sexual behaviour, drug use and domestic violence.
In paperwork filed on Tuesday, he says she’s used the courts to attack him and he wants his chance to retaliate.
A judge has yet to make a decision but what’s certain is neither of these two are prepared to walk away quietly.
Corrie's extra dramas
IT’S been more than a year since Coronation Street bosses promised that there would be a sixth weekly episode – and they’ve finally announced it will be on Wednesdays at 8.30pm.
The extra show, which has required a massive extension to the set to cope with filming demands, will begin on September 20.
And some dramatic storylines for the autumn season have been revealed by Corrie boss Kate Oates.
First Aidan, played by SHAYNE WARD, confesses his affair to fiancée Eva, played by CATHERINE TYLDESLEY on the morning of their wedding, which is gatecrashed by his mistress Maria Connor (SAMIA LONGCHAMBON).
There’s sad news for street stalwart Rita Sullivan, played by BARBARA KNOX, as her health deteriorates.
A preview clip showed her in a hospital bed saying: “I hate getting older, all my friends have passed away.”
Speaking ahead of the Wednesday double episodes bill for fans, executive producer Kate said: “Obviously our centrepiece is the wedding, we’ve got Eva’s revenge and we’ll see how that will play out, and we’ve also got the story between Michelle and Will, and whether she finds out the truth.
“We also have the story with Rita which I hope pulls at heartstrings.”
If they write out Rita the show won’t be the same.
