TAKING IT DOWN A MEG

Towie’s Megan McKenna says singing career has calmed her and she’s still mortified over THAT CBB meltdown

The reality star turned singer says music has helped to control her temper

LOUDMOUTH Megan McKenna has claimed she will never have a rant again on TV and says country music has calmed her down.

The Towie star, 24, who’s topped the iTunes chart with her new single this week, hopes to rein in the fiery temper that once saw her get removed by security in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Megan McKenna has claimed she is 'calmer' thanks to her singing career after being removed from the CBB house last year for this epic rant

“There’s still the odd time where I lose it but my singing career has taught me what’s important.

“I have so much going on in my life right now and so many positive things that I can’t be dealing with any aggravation. I’m not going to have temper tantrums anymore.

“I want to focus on my music. Stress was overtaking my life. I was worrying about filming with certain people – I’m a massive worrier. But I’m not going to scream my head off anymore.”

Megan famously lost her temper during her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother last year where she lashed out in the diary room.

Big Brother was forced to call security after Megan refused to cooperate as she went on an explicit rant about fellow housemate John Partridge.

And Megan says she still feels mortified over the TV moment and wishes that fans weren’t able to watch the clip again online.

She said: “Not everything looks great on Google. Megan’s meltdown on Celebrity Big Brother is not great. A classic – but I’m embarrassed by it.”

Her new show There’s Something About Megan, which sees her trying to pursue her singer career and break America in the country music genre, has given the star a new lease for life.

Megan’s new single High Heeled Shoes topped the charts yesterday – and even took fellow country star Taylor Swift off the No 1 spot.

And Megan was thankful for her time in Nashville this year as no one she met knew about her reality TV past.

She said: “It’s my dream. It is the real Megan. I have always wanted to be a country singer. I want to go on tour.

“I auditioned for X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent back in the day. I was nobody in Nashville and I was thankful for that. I had to get by on my talent.”
