Zayn Malik finally reveals why he was forced to shave off all his hair – the ex-One Direction star used too much bleach
ZAYN Malik has finally revealed the real reason as to why he’s gone completely bald.
The former One Direction star, 24, left fans stunned after he appeared in a photo on his mum Trisha Malik’s Instagram earlier this month - with no hair at all.
But Zayn has now admitted that he was forced to make the dramatic decision after he damaged his locks by bleaching it too many times.
He said: “I just shaved my head because I’d bleached it too many times and it was a bit destroyed.
“The bleach effects your hair doesn’t it so you’ve got to shave it off.”
Despite this, Zayn confessed that fans don’t need to worry – as he’s already started growing his hair back.
Speaking to Scott Mills on BBC Radio 1 tomorrow, he adds: “It grows back straight away anyways, so I’ve got hair now anyway, it only took two days!”
Zayn first unveiled his shock new look in an Instagram post on his mum’s Facebook page – alongside his girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
It’s not the first time Zayn has drastically changed his look.

In 2015, Zayn was compared to Shrek by fans after he dyed his hair green.
And a year later, he dyed his hair pink - just in time for Valentine's Day.
The Mind of Mine singer will drop a new single with Sia called Dusk Till Dawn on September 7.
It's his first single since March when he released Still Got Time with PartyNextDoor.
Recently Zayn won the Best Collaboration gong at the VMAs with Taylor Swift for their work on the video for I Don't Wanna Live Forever, which lead the soundtrack of Fifty Shades Darker.
