Gemma Collins to ‘reveal shocking injury pictures’ from alleged ‘assault’ that led to her fleeing I’m A Celebrity
Gemma claims she was 'beaten to within an inch of her life' by her jailbird ex Alex Moss hours before she flew out to Australia in 2014
TOWIE star Gemma Collins vows to “reveal shocking pictures of her injuries’ after claiming she was “beaten to within an inch of her life” by her jailbird ex-boyfriend Alex Moss.
Gemma alleges the assault took place at her home just hours before she flew to Australia in 2014 and forced her to quit the jungle.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Gemma claims: “I was severely beaten up by my partner the night before I went into the jungle.
“I'm lucky to be alive. He beat me to within an inch of my life.”
Gemma went on to say how ITV bosses begged her not to take part but she insisted she continue.
She said: “When I went in there I was really badly beaten from my neck down.
“ITV didn't want me doing it but because they'd given me such a huge opportunity, how could I not do it?
“I took all the abuse and the stick about leaving the jungle. And every year when the jungle comes on I dread it because people bring up leaving the jungle.
“He was a b*****d and I'm going to release the pictures of what happened.
“It will put it to bed so people know and they stop bantering me about it. They don't know and it's not their fault.
“People shout at me in the street about it and I think, if only you knew! I couldn't speak about it before because I wasn't over it. But I am now and I want people to know.”
The Towie star says she now wants to go back down under and appear on the show again.
She continued: “I want to go in again and give it another shot.
“I feel that opportunity was taken away from me through no fault of my own.
“I'm ready now and I want people to know what really happened to me.”
Alex was jailed in 2012 for conspiracy to supply cocaine.
