Idris Elba spotted with stunning model girlfriend just weeks after he swore he’d never get married again
Model and actress Sabrina Dhowre, 29, accompanied the star on the red carpet
IDRIS ELBA has a stunning new girlfriend – just weeks after he swore he’d never get married again.
I can reveal he is dating actress and model Sabrina Dhowre, who was crowned Miss Vancouver in 2014.
Idris was first spotted looking cosy with Sabrina — who at 29 is 16 years his junior — in Manchester last month but the relationship has very quickly moved to the next level.
They went public with their relationship on Friday night when they attended the premiere party for his new film Molly’s Game at the Toronto International Film Festival.
A source said: “It’s believed Idris and Sabrina have been dating for around seven months. They’re having a great time getting to know each other and Idris feels strongly enough about Sabrina for them to be talked about in public.
“Having her on his arm on a red carpet shows how serious he is about her as he doesn’t do these things lightly.
“He usually likes to keep that side of his life private but he’s proud to show Sabrina off on his arm. It’s been a different story for Sabrina, who has uploaded several pictures of Idris to her Snapchat account.”
Last year Idris, also a successful DJ, split from on-off girlfriend Naiyana Garth, the mother of his three-year-old son Winston.
While his career has gone from strength to strength, the same can’t be said for his love life.
Idris’ first marriage, to make-up artist Hanne Norgaard — mother of his teenage daughter Isan — ended after four years in 2003.
And six weeks after tying the knot with property lawyer Sonya Hamlin in 2006, they split.

Quizzed recently about the chances of going down on one knee again, Idris said: “Am I ever gonna get remarried? I don’t think so. Marriage is an institution of sorts, and I’ve done it.
“It’s not for everybody. It’s not my life’s calling.”
Don’t book the church just yet, Sabrina.
No bar on Bri's songs
BRIAN McFADDEN insists he still has a right to perform Westlife songs – despite quitting the band more than halfway through their reign.
He has also promised there will be more of the Irish boyband’s tunes in the set list than ever when he tours in Boyzlife with Boyzone's Keith Duffy in December.
Brian told me: “Of course I don’t need to ask permission – Westlife didn’t write the songs.
“Ronan Keating does his solo show and performs Boyzone songs and Shane Filan still performs a lot of the Westlife hits.
“I could stop people singing songs that I’ve written on TV if I wanted to, but I never have.”
Meanwhile, this week ex-wife Kerry Katona blamed her Loose Women gig for the breakdown of their marriage in 2006.
But Brian is adamant the spotlight didn’t play a part in their divorce.
He said: “Everything happens for a reason and paves the way for what’s happening now. I’m happy and have got a good girlfriend. It all gets to the right place in the end.”
Indeed, even Against All Odds.
David: I'm not a doctor
DAVID WALLIAMS says he gets inundated with letters from suicidal fans.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge bravely opened up about his own battle with depression in his 2012 autobiography but admits he worries about becoming a “poster boy” for mental-health issues.
He said: “Every day, someone contacts me. It’s very hard when you get a letter from someone saying, ‘I’m thinking about killing myself’.
“You feel a huge responsibility in the way you respond.
“I always say, ‘Tell your family and your friends and seek help’. I’m not qualified to be an agony aunt.”
And although he is keen to help, David admits he feels torn about the charity work he agrees to do.
He told pal John Bishop on John’s W TV channel chatshow: “I get asked to do a lot of things for mental health charities. I’m hesitant sometimes because I’m not sure I want to be the poster boy for it.
“I’m not sure I want people to see me and go, ‘Oh yeah, there’s that depressed bloke’ because I feel I’m there to make people laugh.”
Dark side of Sam's stardom
SAM SMITH admits he was forced to retreat from the limelight to avoid having a nervous breakdown.
The singer says the pressure after winning an Oscar for his 2015 Bond song Writing’s On The Wall and topping the charts around the globe left him fearing he was spiralling into a dark place.
After making his comeback with new single Too Good At Goodbyes this week, Sam revealed: “I really struggled in that three years. There was a moment – people call it ‘the loop the loop’ – when you either come out the other end or you don’t with stuff like that.
“From Latch (his 2012 Disclosure collaboration) to the Oscars, it’s such a huge life change in such a short space of time.”
To make sure he never again finds himself in such a bad way, Sam now plans to fly his family around the world with him.
He said: “I can afford to fly my mum, dad and sisters out now, which is great.
“Sleep deprivation is the thing. I am very sensitive and emotional, so hopefully I won’t get too sad.”
He also revealed which performers he would love to hear sing the next Bond theme.
Sam said: “I’d like Aretha Franklin, Lana Del Ray or Elton John, Beyonce would be insane.”
Water way to stand out
IT is five years since Angelina Jolie’s infamous leg bomb – but the look never fails to step instantly on to these pages.
Suki Waterhouse covered her left side with just a wisp of chiffon at a New York Fashion Week party on Friday while showing off her right pin.
The see-through ensemble revealed an eye-watering high-cut leotard underneath.
While Suki looks to have taken inspiration from Strictly – minus the dodgy fake tan – I doubt the outfit let her bust out many moves at the after-party.
Russell causes a fence
RUSSELL BRAND is taking security very seriously after becoming a dad for the first time.
The comedian is building a two-metre high fence to stop fans peeping into his riverside home from a public footpath.
It comes nearly a year after his new wife Laura Gallacher gave birth to their baby daughter Mabel.
The protection is more than double the height of the existing boundary fence at their home in Henley, Oxon, which backs on to the River Thames.
Now Russell can indulge those nudist tendencies to his heart’s content.
GC gets a make under
AFTER breaking the internet with her hilarious memes, Gemma Collins now plans to strip back her infamous GC style on a new Channel 5 show.
The Towie fave will swap orange fake tan, shoulder pads, bling and blusher for a more casual look when she appears on make-under show 100% Hotter later this year.
A source said: “Gemma is known for her outlandish sense of style. The team want to tone down her make-up so she’s going to be made to look more natural.”
Just don’t cut back on the witty one-liners at the same time, Gem.
— HE may be one of the world’s most stylish men but David Beckham has revealed he would never dare offer advice to wife Victoria on her famous fashion sense.
The ex-footie hero is working with posh clothes firm Kent & Curwen but he says he keeps his opinions to himself on his wife’s work.
He said: “I don’t turn round to her and say ‘You probably shouldn’t do that dress in that colour’ and she wouldn’t turn around and say, ‘You probably shouldn’t do that jacket with that regatta stripe’.”
But their eldest son Brooklyn doesn’t keep quite as schtum. David added: “The only one who will remark on my hair would be Brooklyn.
“At the moment, he’s like, ‘Really, man-bun, are you sure?’”
Hopefully, the arty shot Victoria posted yesterday, left, will get everyone’s seal of approval.
— AFTER all the rumours about One Direction, it’s no surprise Zayn Malik has become obsessed with conspiracy theories.
Like Robbie Williams and Shaun Ryder, he’s also fascinated by reports of extra-terrestrial life.
He confessed: “I spend too much time reading conspiracy theory books and I like books about aliens and space.”
Zayn also revealed plans to follow in Harry Styles’ footsteps onto the big screen.
Netflix’s Stranger Things should sign him up now . . .
