Where is Rellik filmed?

Rellik is filmed and set around east London and follows the exploits of London DCI Gabriel Markham as he tries to catch a killer.

The series is shot in a number of places that may be familiar to anyone from that part of town.

The key location of the police station is filmed in an empty building, which is often used as a film set, on Birkbeck Street E2.

East Londoners may spot the car park of well-known events venue Tobacco Dock in some scenes.

The Docklands Depot in Silvertown was also featured as well as Cambridge Heath Park.

For the hospital location, the producers ventured further afield, shooting these scenes in Ilford, Essex.

What is Rellik about and when is it on?

The new drama ends on BBC One tonight at 9pm.

Rellik - killer spelt backwards - tells the story of a serial killer in reverse.

Starting from when the killer is caught, the thriller will go backwards in time to the very beginning of his killing spree.

Gabriel Markham - a disfigured detective - is propelled in an obsessive hunt for the serial killer who left a mark on him both physically and mentally.

Elaine, Gabriel's partner, is drawn into the investigation after being bright but eager to please.

The search for the killer provides the backbone of the story.

Harry and Jack Williams, the writers and producers of the show, said: "We are really pleased to be working with the BBC again and to be partnering with Cinemax for the first time.

"Rellik is a dark thriller tonally very different to anything we’ve done before and we’re looking forward to bringing it to the screen."
