Kim Kardashian and Kanye West hire £1.2m security for their surrogate – and move her into a safehouse
KIM Kardashian and Kanye West have hired £1.2million round-the-clock security to guard the surrogate mother of their unborn third child.
The Sun Online can exclusively reveal the superstar couple have gone to great lengths to ensure their unnamed surrogate's pregnancy can continue in safety and away from prying eyes.
The pair have moved the woman into a new home in the suburbs of LA and have provided state-of-the-art security equipment.
An insider told us: "Kim and Kanye have rented a place about an hour outside LA in a very nondescript suburb in a middle-class neighbourhood for their surrogate.
"I mean, this is the last place you would think to find the surrogate for one of the richest families in Hollywood.
"It's a nice house, actually, split level, and Kanye has cameras put in everywhere in the house and outside too for safety and security - these are state of the art."
The woman will also be surrounded by security staff and even has her own driver to ensure she isn't hassled while out and about.
"There are six security guards on rotation duties, for nine months," said our source.
"They have rented four different cars, and the surrogate has a driver.
"So with the rent on the house, expenses for the security staff and their wages - that's around $1.5million for the surrogate's safety.
"But of course, it's worth it - they want the best for her and their unborn baby."
Kim and Kanye are already parents to daughter North, four, and baby son Saint, who celebrates his second birthday in December.
It emerged earlier this month that baby number three was on the way after Kim, 36, and Kanye, 40, opted for surrogacy over Kim carrying another child.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has been vocal about the complications she's encountered during past pregnancies and was even warned last year she could "bleed to death" if she falls pregnant for a third time.
She said on an episode of her E! show: "Getting more kids will definitely be a struggle. I've gone through so much with bad deliveries that the doctors don't feel it's safe for me to conceive again."
Her doctor had warned she suffered from toxaemia - toxins in the blood from infection - and had two "very traumatic" labours with North and Saint.
He said: "Here's what I think, your pregnancies, you had toxaemia, you had a retained placenta, very traumatic, we're always worried about the next serious complication. I think the potential fear of the whole situation is legitimate.
"You never know that you might not have the same type of problem that might be more serious this time. You're always taking a little bit of a chance. There are situations where retained placenta could be life and death."
Her mother Kris, 61, then said: "You could bleed to death".
Kim’s troubles began when she was pregnant with her first child North after doctors discovered she had a high-risk condition called placenta accreta.
The rare condition occurs when the placenta attaches too deep into the uterine wall and is life-threatening because the sufferer can lose an average of three to five litres of blood during delivery.
Reports of a surrogate surfaced in July, with claiming their chosen surrogate was already three months pregnant.
An insider alleged the woman is in her twenties and was approached by the famous couple through “an agency”.
Kim and Kanye, however, have remained tight-lipped on the rumours of a surrogate carrying their third child, with Kim saying they would talk about their possible baby when they were ready.
She told E! News: “[There’s] so many details out there, and like I've never heard this, I've never heard this.
“Like whatever. We have not confirmed it, and that's that. I'll let you know when we're ready.
“I've definitely seen a lot of things, we've never confirmed anything.”
While Kim and Kanye aren't confirming anything, it hasn't stopped the rumours flying.
According to , the woman they've chosen is an African American college graduate in her twenties, who has been married for five years and has two children.
It's been claimed the surrogate is in "great physical shape", in a happy relationship and is a registered Democrat.
Kim's rep denied to comment when contacted by The Sun Online.
Another insider told : "The entire family is over the moon.
"Given her health scares in the past, Kim felt the need to hire a surrogacy agency that helped serve as the liaison in finding a healthy woman who would be a great surrogate option for her and Kanye.
"Both of them have been super involved in the process."
Kim confirmed last month that she and Kanye were hopeful of a third child, but kept tight lipped about details or timing.
Speaking to about the possibility of a third child, she said: "I hope so. There have been a lot of things said and Kanye and I have not confirmed anything. We're definitely trying. We are hoping so."
Kim has spoken in the past about exploring surrogacy - and even said that she'd asked sisters Kourtney and Khloe if they would be willing to carry her child.
Speaking during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, she explained: "I have had to go through multiple things to try and do it on my own but I do not think that is looking good for me but I am not giving up.
"So it is a process. You kind of see the whole thing on this next season of our show... of me begging Khloe to help out, but I do not want to do that to her.
"My mom offered, Kourtney offered."
Kim and Kanye have been married since 2015.
