LINDA Nolan has revealed that her biggest regret in life is not having children.

The singer appeared in a video segment on today’s Loose Women for the second part of her cancer story and opened up about her future, as well as her past, following her recent diagnosis of secondary breast cancer, which she has been told is incurable.

She said: “I think when you are facing a future with cancer you do look back on your life and think have I made the right decisions, have I done as much as I can do.

“I think me not having children is nobody’s fault but my own. I just let my career get in the way. When I thought about it, it was a little bit too late really and it’s my only regret in life actually.”

Linda was married to her husband Brian for 26 years before he passed away from cancer in 2007 but it was only last year that she finally felt ready to look for love again.

Looking rather emotional, she shared:  “I’ve had a love in my life that… some people don’t ever have that in their lives. Brian and I were married for 26 years and I was diagnosed with complex grief because we were together for 26 years, 24/7 and that’s why I missed him so much.”

She continued: “When Brian passed away and people would say to me oh you won’t be on your own and I used to think, that’s not why I am sad because he’s not here to go to dinner with.

"It’s taken a long time, it really only happened last year to say ‘do you know what? Male company would be nice’.

"Just to go for dinner, to go to the movies with, to sit at home and watch a film with and be comfortable with. It’s more of a companion now.”

And she revealed that she even had a kiss recently, saying: “I had a cheeky little kiss with a friend from Australia. It was safe because he went back. He was the right person at the right time that helped me through that initial moment.”

Linda was recently diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. Her  diagnosis came after she fell over and a routine scan revealed an unexpected cyst on her hip.

She had previously been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and had been free of the disease for the last six years.
