Mel B and Stephen Belafonte arrive at court as their bitter divorce rumbles on
The former Spice Girl has been embroiled in the bitter dispute with her ex-husband for months but said this week that the truth 'will come out'
MEL B and her estranged ex-husband Stephen Belafonte arrived at court in LA today as their bitter divorce battle rumbles on.
Since the pair split in December last year, Mel and Stephen have thrown numerous shocking allegations at each other.
They have appeared in court on a number of occasions since their split as they battle it out over custody of their children and their finances.
America's Got Talent judge Mel cut a striking figure in pink flared trousers, white top and matching jacket as she arrived at the Superior Court in Down Town Los Angeles.
She wore her newly dyed orange hair slicked back and accessorised with sunglasses and a large Hermes handbag.
Mel has kept a dignified restraint following the claims made against her and appears confident the “truth” will come out.
Earlier this week, she posted a note on Instagram today that read: “The truth always comes out in the end, no matter how hard anyone tries to hide it or stop it.
“Lies are just a temporary delay to the inevitable.”
According to the , a 22-year-old student received a message from Mel's hairdresser and close friend Gary Manatyan on Instagram last week.
It claims the message read: “Hi. Please let me know what number Mel B can contact you. This is Gary her friend. She ask me to contact you.”
The student then reportedly replied: “I have no contact with him [Stephen Belafonte] anymore so I am out of the situation totally, so u can tell her that if she want to contact me she can write me on Instagram.”
But then during the night she claims she received a call from a Beverly Hills number which she didn't answer.
She said: “I was woke up by a call, it was 3am, and the number was from the US and straight after that Gary was writing me again on Instagram, he gave me his number and said Mel wants to talk to me.
“I thought the call I received had come from Stephen so I called it back and it was Mel.
“She said, 'Your sex tape is already out there and your name is already out there and you have to be in court in about two or three weeks and my lawyers can help you and I can pay for a trip.'”
The student said she told the star that would not be possible as she had to study and she didn't want to be involved in the situation, but claimed Mel wouldn't take no for an answer.
She continued: “But she said, 'No you have to, it's like in the law, if the court is calling you have to go there.'”
The MailOnline also claimed the student is not on any witness list submitted to court as part of the couple's domestic violence abuse case and she has not been subpoenaed to give evidence.
The student also does not appear in any of the videos Stephen's legal team as submitted as evidence.
