Strictly Come Dancing’s Mollie King address rumours of a romance between her and AJ Pritchard

The Saturdays star said her dance partner is "a beautiful boy" so could a new romance be on the cards?

STRICTLY Come Dancing's Mollie King has opened up about the romance rumours surrounding her and professional dancer AJ Pritchard.

The pair sparked romance rumours when they had a cosy night in to watch the first Strictly show together.

Mollie, 30, has now addressed the rumours and says the pair are just friends.

She told the Huffington Post at the Diversity In Media Awards: “I think there’s always some kind of romance rumour so it didn’t surprise me but I hardly even know him well so far, so there’s no truth in that.

“But he’s such a sweet heart and obviously he is a beautiful boy so I’m very lucky.”

Mollie found out AJ was her partner on last Saturday's opener and they seem to have hit it off and watched the show together.

Taking to Twitter she wrote: "So we might just be watching this together 🤣❤️ Couldn't be happier!!! Let's do this @aj11ace 💪🏼💃🏼🕺🏼 xx #strictly."

While AJ couldn't hide his delight either, tweeting: "I'm so HAPPY 😁... @MollieKing @bbcstrictly 2017 ..."

Some of their followers couldn't help but think the pair were smitten already, replying: "You looked like the cat that got the cream lol. You'll be great together.

"Is this the 1st tweet in your new relationship! lol #strictlycurse.

"Love you and Mollie together, can't wait until we see you dance together. Fingers crossed you make the final this year 🤞🤞❤."

Prior to being paired with AJ, single Mollie talked down the chances of having a romance on the show.

She told the : "We’re going to be spending so much time with them, I hope we get on really well. I’m sure we will.

“There are always rumours, hopefully I won’t be getting any of those!

“The salsa and rumba could help bring out a more sexy side of me."
