Stephanie Davis reveals she’s turned to God to get through tough times with ex Jeremy McConnell

STEPHANIE Davis has shared a moving poem with fans as she turns to religion to help her move on from the recent series of heartbreaks in her life.
The 24-year-old told fans that she's embraced a "higher power" following a difficult few months which has included ex Jeremy McConnell being found guilty of assaulting her and a tragic miscarriage in August while pregnant with her second child.
Ex Hollyoaks star Stephanie posted a Twelve Step poem about recovery to Instagram on Wednesday evening which included the lines: "I took Step One, began to moan. I can't do this one on my own.
"I took Step Two, began to pray, restore me God, please now, today."
It continued: "I took Step Three, gave up my will, maybe God could love me still."
Another verse in the poem read: "I pray to know, each day His Will, which way to go."
Stephanie shared the poem alongside a caption reading: "Higher power. Sweet dreams to all. Cosy in bed feeling peaceful."
Fans were quick to leave Stephanie messages of support, with one telling her: "I see nothing but positive steps from you, taking your past hardships and learning from them and in the process becoming a stronger woman."
Another said: "Remember, just one day at a time."
A third added: "Praying for you and your little boy. Sending much love."
It's not the first time Stephanie has turned to religion to help her heal.
In April this year she shared a verse to Twitter which read: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference.”
She captioned it: “Love this. I Always go with it.”
Stephanie has just returned home to the UK after taking nine-month-old son Caben away for his first foreign holiday.
While abroad she shared a multitude of motivational Instagram posts with her fans, including one which read: "Life is what YOU make it. This too shall pass."
Another image showed the former Celebrity Big Brother star standing by a peaceful lake enjoying a quiet moment.
In its lengthy caption, she urged fans to be "thankful" for the good things in life and let go of the negatives or things beyond their control.
"Life is a beautiful thing. Let go of the things you can't control. Change the things you can to better yourself," wrote Steph.
"Forgive yourself and others, to set yourself free. Live freely and know that your path has already been decided for you.
Be thankful for the things you have instead of he things you haven't. Look for the positives in every situation.
"Be thankful for your life, do things that Make YOU happy. Make the rest of your life, [be the] best of your life."
She closed her quote by adding the hashtag "thank you Lord".
Stephanie also shared a reflective quote as her holiday drew to an end, telling fans that "self-reflection is a humbling process" but one she felt was necessary.
"It's essential to find out why you think, say and do certain things, then better yourself," she said.
"Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice YOU have made... if you don't like it..... make a different choice. Make a better life, the power is in you, no one else... what you waiting for?"
Stephanie jetted abroad one month after ex Jeremy - who is Caben's dad - was found guilty of assaulting her at her Liverpool home earlier this year.
He was given a 20-week suspended sentence.
That same month, a heartbroken Stephanie revealed that she'd miscarried her second child.
In an emotional message to social media, the former soap star said her "grief and pain [was] unbelievable", adding: "To lose a child is something I hope no one ever goes through."
