Celebrity Masterchef viewers disgusted by ‘seaweed custard’ served by Dev Griffin in professional kitchen task during the final

Fans of the show cannot contain their revulsion on Twitter as Dev is tasked with serving a yellow custard that tastes like seaweed during the tense final episode.

CELEBRITY Masterchef viewers were left reaching for a bucket after a "seaweed custard" was served in tonight's finale show by contestant Dev Griffin.

During the professional kitchen task, contestant Dev had to prepare langoustines with the alarmingly yellow custard, labelled "revolting" and "pretentious" by viewers.

Critics including Marcus Wareing absolutely loved the starter dish, which also came with a strange caviar soup and another langoustine wrapped in burned herbs.

But viewers weren't entertaining the idea of ever making or eating the weird yellow concoction.

The custard got a serious bashing on Twitter in vitriolic messages from fans watching the tense finale.

One viewer tweeted: "Oh f*** off. Who pays top dollar to eat this pretentious b******s?"

Another agreed, writing: "Seaweed custard? Nope. Give me Ambrosia any day. #celebritymasterchef."

And a third passionate viewer really stuck the boot in: "Seaweed Custard???? F*** off! F***off some more!! Then keep f***ing off until you fall off a cliff!!"
