Who is James White and what's his background?

The 27-year-old comes from Birmingham, and also has some family in Canada.

The bright young Brummie started up his own IT business Right Time Recruitment in 2016, which  he now co-owns with Lord Alan Sugar.

After winning the contest, James said: "This last year has taught me many life lessons which I'm extremely grateful to have learnt and experienced.

"It's been a complete rollercoaster of a journey and believe me it's just about to get a hell of a lot bumpier.

"Piece of advice from me is dream big and never let anyone put you down, 12 months ago I was in a completely different place and now I've got so many things to smile about."

James considers his drive and ambition as his best qualities and even goes as far as to say that no one has ambition like his.

White's company hit the headlines for less positive reasons in February 2018, when a video showed his colleagues had hired a stripper for a new recruit's birthday.

The entrepreneur has said he was not present at the party, and that it happened away from company's premises in Birmingham.

What happened in The Apprentice final?

James made it all the way to the final alongside Sarah Lynn – and in an unprecedented twist they were BOTH crowned winners, receiving £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar.

The duo impressed the business legend with their business plans, meaning he had to fork out half a million pounds in total.

It was the the first time in 13 series that Lord Sugar decided to double his investment and go into business with both candidates.

Revealing his decision, he said: "James - crowded market, but I’ve had some experience with a similar person of a similar age who is making a lot, a lot of money.

"Sarah - sweets. I don’t have any experience of your business, OK. I’m going to say that I’m a gambler and I’ve always been a gambler in business.

"This particular year, I’m going to double my investment… I’m going to start a business with both of you."

Was James White in a relationship with fellow contestant Jade English?

It was reported that the dashing contestant enjoyed a tryst with fellow Apprentice star Jade English while they lived together during the series.

The Sun's Dan Wootton revealed: "Two of this year’s wannabe entrepreneurs got down to some saucy antics away from the boardroom.

"This was despite any sexual interaction being banned by producers."

A TV insider said relations had cooled off since filming ended.

What is The Apprentice?

The Apprentice is a hit BBC reality show, now in its thirteenth series, featuring hour-long episodes.

Each series of the programme aims to find a new apprentice for billionaire business mogul and Amstrad founder Lord Alan Sugar, who's worth £1.4bn.

It aims to recreate the toughest of business environments and tasks for its set of contestants, but it is often very funny due to the incompetence and arrogance of the competitors.

The show began in 2005 and has a US equivalent that kicked off in 2004, with Donald Trump in Lord Alan's equivalent role.

There are celebrity and junior versions of the UK show, too.
