Floyd Mayweather DENIES dating ex-Towie star Abi Clarke despite claims of a recent split
The superstar sportsman seems keen to distance himself from the reality star who claims they have been on a string of dates since summer
FLOYD Mayweather never dated Abi Clarke, according to the boxer's close friends.
The boxing superstar was first linked to the former Towie star in July enjoyed a secret string of dates with the boxer after hitting it off in Las Vegas.
But despite Abi, 26, hinting this week that the pair had split, a close friend of Floyd's insisted the 40-year-old had never been in a relationship with her in the first place.
The source told the : "They never were dating or a couple in first place so you can't split from something if it was never, at any time, joined together.
"Anyone can take a picture with Floyd and say it is something it isn't.
"She appears to be just taking advantage of linking herself with a world-renowned, very rich athlete."
Meanwhile, a second insider told OK! Magazine: "He never flew her anywhere, and definitely at no time was she a part of his inner circle, meeting his family and friends."
While Floyd and his camp are clearly keen to distance themselves from Abi, the reality star appeared to insist they had been together but had now split during a chat with Closer magazine this week.
Abi, who recently shelled out £10,000 for a bum lift and lipo,told the publication: "Whenever I go through break-ups I have surgery.
"I had a boob job after a split in 2012, then my lips and this time I got my bum lift to feel more confident.

"The attention has been mad. If I walk down the street men nearly crash their cars or they literally walk into things. It feels good."
And gushing about the first time she met the sports superstar, she said: "I met Floyd last year in Vegas.
"I've had a lot of relationships with high-profile men, I attract them – I don't know why – but I keep it quiet.
"I'll never be that kiss and tell girl. They trust me."
