Kim Kardashian gets a handwritten apology letter from the leader of the gang accused of robbing her at gunpoint in Paris last year
THE alleged ring leader of the gang accused of robbing Kim Kardashian in Paris last year has written her an apology letter.
According to TMZ, Kim’s legal team in France received a letter from Aomar Ait Khedache who apparently organised the October 2016 heist which saw Kim tied up and robbed at gunpoint, and left her fearing for her life and plagued with nightmares and flashbacks.
And now, after apparently “observing” the psychological pain the 36-year-old mother-of-two endured, the career criminal has reached out.
The handwritten letter translated from French, reads in part: "After observing your emotion and realizing the psychological damages I inflicted ... I decided to write to you, not to obtain from you some sort of indulgence."
"I want to come to you as a human being to tell you how much I regret my gesture, how much I have been moved and touched to see you in tears."
He goes on to add that he “sympathises” with Kim’s pain, and even hopes letter will ease it.
He writes: "Know that I fully sympathize with the pain you are enduring, your children, your husband, and your close ones."
"I hope that this letter will allow you to forget little by little the trauma that you suffered by my fault."
However Kim has apparently seen through the heartfelt tone of the letter and finds his words “hollow”, believing it’s only been written so that he can appear remorseful when the case goes to trial.
The fact he didn’t send the letter to Kim, instead posting to the judge, who forwarded it on to Kim’s lawyers, doesn't help.
The gang are believed to have entered the luxury apartment on Paris' Rue Tronchet at around 2.30am on October 3, 2016.
Dressed as police, sources say the men were unwittingly allowed into the complex by a concierge.
After handcuffing the porter, they made their way up to Kim’s flat, where she was sleeping.
They broke in and then two of them held a gun at the reality TV star, before also tying her hands together and then locking her in a bathroom.

More than £9million worth of jewellery is believed to have been nabbed during the attack – including a £5million jewellery box and one ring worth £3.5million.
Also stolen was the £3.5million ring could be the 20-carat second engagement ring given to her by husband Kanye West.
She had recently showed off the dazzling stone in a revealing Instagram snap after rapper West gave his wife the ring as an upgrade to her original 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring.
A police source said: "They then helped themselves to millions of euros, before making their escape.
"Victims of this robbery were unharmed but they are clearly in a state of shock and fear."
