Love Island’s Amber Davies hints that Jessica Shears and Dom Lever’s engagement isn’t ‘real’ in new interview
AMBER Davies has hinted she doesn't believe Jess Shears and Dom Lever's engagement is genuine in a new interview.
The Love Island winner made the comment when asked about her fellow islanders whirlwind romance, which saw them get engaged after three months together.
The petite star - who is dating fellow winner Kem Cetinay - admitted she felt the couple's quick engagement made the relationship seem less authentic.
She added: " But we're not trying to move our relationship on like that. We're trying to do the opposite and to prove to people we are a real couple."
Amber and Kem have remained loved-up since they won the latest series of the ITV2 show this summer, and have kept fans up to date with their romance through social media.
Kem was recently seen showing off his best dance moves for Amber in a hilarious video she posted online.
The reality star pulled out all the stops when he gave her a private show in their bedroom.
Although it’s not known where Kem got his inspiration from for the routine, it was certainly unusual – with the former hairdresser clenching his fists and shaking his upper body.
Amber shared the video with her Twitter followers and simply captioned the video: “What?”
Their fans thought the clip was hilarious, with one telling her: “I’m gonna bust them moves out at prom!”
Another tweeted: “I am crying!”
Since they won Love Island, both Amber, 20, and 21-year-old Kem have been busy working on their TV careers.
While Jess and Dom are in talks to star in a Newlyweds show – becoming the UK’s version of Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey.
The recently engaged couple are also to wed next summer, becoming the show’s first married couple having met in June.
They will pip series two pair Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen who have a date in September 2018 after getting engaged in December last year.
Now Jess, 23, and Dom, 26, are set to star in a new show documenting the run up to the big day.
The show will be in a Newlyweds-style made famous in the noughties by singers Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson.
A source told The Sun: “Jess and Dom couldn’t be happier right now.
“They’ve now got their date set and they’ll get married next summer.
“They’re currently in talks with telly bosses to star in a Newlyweds show in the run-up to the big day.
“TV chiefs are really keen to nab the ‘first Love Island wedding’ as it’s a guaranteed viewing hit.
“And by time it airs, Love Island fever will have struck the nation all over again following the next series.”
The pair put rumours of fellow islander Mike Thalassitis sleeping with Jess after leaving the ITV2 show behind them, and revealed they had got engaged at the start of September.
