What is Have I Got News For You?

The series is a comedy quiz show that grills celebrity contestants on the week's headlines.

It was originally hosted by Angus Deaton, but since 2002 has used a different guest host each week after Deaton left the show.

It launched in 1990 with team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop, who are still the captains now.

Hislop is the only person to have appeared on every single episode of the show - he once battled through a show despite suffering from appendicitis and needed to rush hospital straight after.

The current series is the 55th in its history.
