Peter Andre cancels Australian Greatest Hits tour ‘due to poor ticket sales’
Peter's rep insists the tour has only been postponed as it clashed with his TV work in the UK
PETER Andre has reportedly cancelled his Australian Greatest Hits tour "due to poor ticket sales".
reports that his November gigs have been called off after the Mysterious Girl singer failed to shift enough tickets.
"Despite heavy promotion and publicity, the ticket sales weren’t as popular as his famous six-pack," they said.
Pete's concerts would have marked his first tour in his home country in 20 years but it wasn't to be.
Ticket outlets have said the gigs couldn't go ahead due to "scheduling difficulties" but no information about rescheduling the dates has been released.
His rep told the that the concerts were "postponed" because the dates clashed with Pete's TV work here in the UK.
"Pete's tour has been postponed until 2018 due to filming commitments being behind schedule in the UK," they said.
It's believed the timing clashed with his new show 60 Minute Makeover.
It comes after Katie said Pete "got fat" during their marriage and insisted they could have salvaged relationship if he hadn't cut contact.
She said: "When I meet men they are really fit and then when they are with me they get fat."
But Katie quickly added how she hadn't wanted their marriage to end, and that she thinks they could have reconciled if he had only let her speak to him after they broke up.
She said: "I didn't want to split with him but we did. He thought I was up to no good.
"There was also things to do with my horses.
"At the time he had people who wouldn't let me go near him after we split.
"I 100% think that if I did get to see him we wouldn't have split but we have both moved on."
The Sun Online have contacted Pete's rep for comment.
