Rafe Spall is a British actor born in Camberwell, London, in 1983.
The 37-year-old always had his sights set on following his father Timothy's footsteps into the acting world.
After failing to secure good grades at school, he quit and joined the National Youth Theatre.
Who is Rafe Spall's famous dad Timothy?
Rafe is rightly proud of papa Spall, Timothy, who is a veteran actor and presenter.
Timothy, 63, first found fame in TV drama Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, following a host of theatre roles.
He went on to become a well-known face in everything from Disney movie Enchanted to Harry Potter films and the rathermore darker flick, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
What does Rafe say about his dad's influence on his career?
Rafe and Timothy first starred together in the ITV adaptation of A Room With A View where, rather aptly, they played father-and-son.
In an interview with he talked of the 60-year-old being his inspiration and said: “As a man, the most important thing my dad taught me was to be kind and as an actor – aside from the masterclass I got from watching him shouting at the telly when I was growing up – it was to work hard and to always give an honest performance.
“When I analyse what people love about my dad, it’s to do with that honesty and a kind of humility."

The Londoner has taken on roles in numerous Edgar Wright movies, including Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World;'s End.

In an interview with about being a father, Rafe said: "The truth is that being a parent is all I’ve ever really wanted.
“Put simply, what else is there? Basically, I love having dependents and I love the feeling of providing. It’s what I’ve always felt that I’m here for.”

The screen star has publicly admitted to struggling with his weight, and at one time, tipped the scales at 114kg.
Yet after upping his fitness regime in his Twenties - due to the amount of character parts he achieved - he shed more than 32kg.
