Towie fans delighted to see James Argent back on the show as Gemma Collins declares she ‘loved him at his fattest’
Gemma later broke down in tears when Arg visited her at her shop. The pair promised to 'stop f***ing each other over' and new reports suggest the pair could be getting back together.
TOWIE viewers were delighted to see James 'Arg' Argent back on their screens tonight as Gemma Collins declared she "loved him at his fattest".
Arg returned to the ITVBe show after a stint at a Thai rehab centre and undergoing a nose job.
His pals were delighted to see him back in Brentwood but Gemma was nervous about seeing her former lover and decided not to go to the Roller Disco - instead opting for wine with Chloe Sims.
She told her: "Arg has to remember that I was the one that loved him at his fattest with his biggest nose - when he was going through a sh*t time I still had a very big heart for him.
"I don't feel that my love for him has ever been reciprocated, he's always seen me as some kind of joke.
"'I've only ever been courteous to Arg in more ways than one, I know he's p*ssed off with me but it takes two to tango.
"In a fairytale world I'd have loved to have had Arg's baby - not from a psycho point of view - but because we did really get on and we always had a nice time together.
"And I wouldn't have need anything from Arg, maybe a bit of maintenance every now and then because I want the Silver Cross - you know the nice big pram?
"It's not like I would've wanted his baby to be with him, it just would've suited me."
Viewers loved Gemma's candid confession about her fling with Arg and were in hysterics at her classic lines.
Gemma also defiantly told Chloe: “Look, I know Arg is p****d off with me, Chloe, but at the same time it takes two to tango.
“I’ve always kept his secrets and lies for him, but I ain’t talking to him, he can kiss my arse.”
However, Arg came to visit her at the shop later in the episode and she ended up in tears.
"I think it's ridiculous that you view me as a joke - I'm a woman," she told him.
But Arg hit back saying: "You completely f***ed me over...you decided months and months later that you slept with me the same day I f***ed Lydia [Bright]."
Gemma tried to make things right between them saying: "I'm sorry if I've ever upset you, I just think we've been a bit bad to each other. I don't think you realise how much I thought you were amazing."
But Gemma then got upset after he asked her if she was "OK" after everything that happened.
He asked her: “Are you OK at the moment? Are you really happy?”
To which she responded: “Why are you doing this to me?”
“I’m just asking ya,” says Arg. “I haven’t spoke to ya for ages have I?
“I don’t even know if you’re getting on alright.”
Gemma then starts crying and tells him: “Yeah it’s weird seeing you again.”
Back in March Gemma confessed her plan to try and have Arg’s baby.
She told Chloe and Bobby Norris: "I haven't got a boyfriend so how am I ever going to have a baby? I'm 36, and it's made me feel a little unfulfilled.
"When we were in Marbella last year, I had a one-night stand with someone we all know.”
After admitting the man was Arg, Gemma explained she secretly hoped to get pregnant.
"The long and short of it is, I didn't use contraception, because I'm at that age now that if I fall pregnant, I fall pregnant.
"When I came on my period I thought, 'What a shame.'"
As Gemma lamented her brush with pregnancy, Chloe, 34, tried to talk some sense to her.
Chloe said: "I'm no psychotherapist, we all know that.
"But Gem – what you've just told us is a little bit crazy. Woman to woman, age to age, I think you're losing your marbles a little bit."
Meanwhile, speculation is rife that the pair are back on after they jetted to Dublin for filming.
