Who is Lady Mary Charteris?

Lady Mary, 30, is the daughter of  Scottish peer James Charteris,  the 13th Earl of Wemyss and 9th Earl of March.

She is an It Girl, model and singer

Lady Mary was barely one when her parents split up but she enjoyed a privileged upbringing in the idyllic setting of Stanway House, Gloucs.

Lady Mary went to London’s exclusive Francis Holland School for girls, an apparent favourite of elite socialites — past pupils include Petra and Tamara Ecclestone, Jemima Khan, Sienna Miller and Emilia Fox.

There, Mary became pals with Poppy Delevingne and her younger sister Cara, they’d go on to be models — but not before Mary.

Like godmother Jerry Hall, she got into modelling early on, spotted aged 15 by Issy Blow — who also discovered Sophie Dahl — and modelled for Louis Vuitton.

In 2015 Lady Mary was a shoulder to cry on for pal Jamie Hince when his marriage to Kate Moss crumbled.

It was reported at the time that Kate was "not happy" about this - although there is no suggestion anything untoward had gone on between the pair.

The two woman are said to not be on good terms.

There was reportedly an incident before Kate and Jamie's marriage split where Kate pushed a fully-dressed Mary into a swimming pool - after being enraged by her continued presence at Jamie’s side.

A friend told The Sun that the row “was really awful” and added: “All Mary had done is talk to Jamie like she always does. But Kate couldn’t cope."

When did Lady Mary become friends with David Beckham?

The Sun revealed how Victoria  Beckham is angry over husband David’s growing friendship with Lady Mary.

The couple have rowed over the model and DJ, who Becks has been hanging out with while his wife is at work.

They have partied at late-night bashes after being introduced at Glastonbury by the former footballer’s close pal Dave Gardner.

A source close to the Beckhams told us: “David has spent time partying with Mary at events into the early hours of the morning.

“They were introduced by Dave and Victoria is very worried that she is not the best influence on David.

"They met at Glastonbury but Victoria is not fond of her.”

Ex-England captain Becks, 42, became protective when another man tried to talk to her during a party at London’s Chiltern Firehouse.

A source at the bash revealed: “When the bloke approached, David made sure she was looked after and said, ‘She’s with me’. It was clear they are pals.”
