It's particularly surprising to see the Trinidadian announce her retirement given that it was just over the summer when she teased fans with details concerning her fifth studio album.
Nicki has made it known to fans on her Queen Radio show that a very "dope" executive producer was attached to the project, and that she couldn't wait to share more details with her Barbz.
It's unclear whether she still plans to release the record or not, but it seems Nicki is sticking to her words as she bows out from the music industry as one of the greatest female rappers.
