Our Girl viewers praise ‘amazing chemistry’ between Michelle Keegan and Luke Pasqualino and beg their characters to get back together
During tonight's episode Elvis told Georgie that he loves her, despite leaving her at the altar on their wedding day
OUR Girl viewers have praised Michelle Keegan and Luke Pasqualino for their amazing on screen chemistry.
The actors, who play Corporal Georgie Lane and Elvis on the BBC show, were once again reunited during tonight’s episode – leaving fans begging for their characters to get back together.
The characters, who were due to be married before Elvis jilted her, had it out in the middle of a war zone, with hunky Elvis revealing he was still in love with her.
After confronting her over her new love interest, an aid worker in Nepal, he told her: "You were right, about the way I acted, it wasn't fair.
"Nothing has changed for me Georgie. I'm still madly in love with you.
"If you don't feel the same I'll leave, and I mean it this time, I'll go and let you get on with your life, if you say you don't love me."
While those at home were desperate for Georgie to say she felt the same, she rebuffed him.
In a devastating moment, she said: "Loving each other was never the problem. It can't work."
After the romantic moment was interrupted by the Captain, who arrived to tell them that they were trapped on enemy territory, viewers rushed to Twitter to praise the stars.
One person wrote: “Ooosh @michkeegan absolutely outstanding all of you!👌🏻 and that Elvis & Georgie chemistry amazing 😍😍”
While another commented: “And who doesn't love to see Elvis... love the chemistry and relationship of him and Georgie in this programme! 😍 #OurGirl.”
Someone else wrote: “@lucapasqualino & @michkeegan chemistry is just off the charts... why can’t Georgie & Elvis just work it out & be together #OurGirl.”
They also pleaded for a reunion, with one person writing: “I just want Elvis and Georgie to be together forever in our girl.”
“Elvis and Georgie better get back together! 😫 #Ourgirl,” added another fan.
