Towie’s Gemma Collins pictured in tears after James ‘Arg’ Argent decides they should NOT be together during emotional heart to heart chat
GEMMA Collins was seen in tears as James Argent shuts the door on their romance once and for all while filming Towie.
The former flames were seen catching up together outside Gemma's Essex boutique on Tuesday night as the show wrapped up filming.
While the encounter seemed to be on good terms, it was clearly hard for both of them and their cheeky banter soon gave way to a sombre heart-to-heart as they discussed their former relationship and current friendship.
By the end of the chat, it soon becomes clear that Arg was pulling the plug on the idea of any potential romance – and Gemma was left gutted after she goes in for a kiss and he snubs her for a peck on the cheek.
Arg and Gemma dated briefly in 2012 but remained close after their split, leading to one of reality TV's most awkward splits of the year.
Last year, Lydia Bright found out that boyfriend Arg had slept with her on the same day he'd slept with Gemma on holiday during a period where his pal was trying to get pregnant.
While the girls worked out their feelings and decided to band together, as they didn't know his deception, things had never been the same with Arg since.
After working for weeks on clearing the air, the close pals have decided they would work better as friends and tears were shed as they hugged it out.
Gemma then left Arg outside the shop, and while he looked clearly upset by the conversation, the meme queen was left in a flood of tears as she went and got a taxi home alone.
The Sun Online revealed last week that Gemma’s castmates on the hit ITVBe show were all worried that her relationship with Arg would end in tears and warned her not to fall for him again.
“Arg has made it clear he’s not in the right place to start a serious relationship with Gemma, but everyone’s worried that she’s not listening to him and is falling for him again,” said the insider.
“Arg and Gemma have such a laugh, and since he rejoined Towie they’re spending loads of time together, but he’s just not looking for a serious relationship right now.
“Everyone genuinely feels for her – she’s a sweet person and she just wants to find love, but it’s not going to be with Arg.
“She jokes all the time that now Arg has lost the weight and had a nose job, he won’t want her.

“It’s sad because if he was ready to date her, they’d make a great couple.”
Gemma revealed this week that she was still fond of Arg – but that she thinks he should get back with ex-girlfriend Lydia Bright.
Their run-in on set comes just after Gemma revealed she would love to record a duet with fellow Towie regular Arg.
Former CBB and I'm A Celeb contestant Gemma, who has now also been linked to her jailbird ex, has already revealed she reckons she can light up the charts like a less ";dated" Adele.
Now Gemma, 36, has told OK!: "In the summer, I was asked to do a record.
"I wouldn’t say I’m a proper singer, I do like to sing because it makes me feel happy when I sing, but I’m more garage!"
Then, asked if she would duet with sometime singer Arg, she added: "Absolutely, that would be amazing! We could do it for Christmas!"
