Ex-S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt arrives on EastEnders set for first time as she prepares to make debut as new character Kandice Taylor
Hannah has previously acted in Primeval, Casualty and the S Club 7 movie
HANNAH Spearritt has been pictured on the EastEnders set for the first time.
The former S Club 7 member will appear in the BBC1 soap for a stint later this year as part of the Taylor family who recently moved to Albert Square.
The actress, 36, embraced her cast mates as she arrived for her first day in the job.
Sporting a navy bomber jacket with a pink blouse underneath, Hannah completed the look with slim denim jeans and matching pink heels.
Hannah can also be seen in a number of official character shots with the same elegant outfit.
Posing in front of a festive Christmas tree, it would seem that Hannah's character lives away from Albert Square, but a source has suggested she could become a full-time fixture.
She will play single mum Karen Taylor’s younger sister Kandice, and is rumoured to be just as outspoken as the rest of the brood.
Hannah, 36, is another fresh signing for show chief John Yorke since he took over from Sean O’Connor, who quit in June and comes just a day after he announced Tamzin Outhwaite’s return.
Revealing her excitement about joining the cast Hannah said: “I’m over the moon to be joining the show, it’s such a huge part of British telly. I’m really looking forward to getting started and I can’t wait to see the Square in the flesh. Walford here I come.”

A TV source said: “Producers are excited about casting Hannah in the show and if she proves popular she could be back as a more permanent fixture.”
Hannah has a strong acting background having starred in the BBC1 series Primeval as Abby for three years, and winning parts in Casualty and Death In Paradise.
Hannah first found fame as part of pop megagroup S Club 7.
The band scored four UK number-one singles and shifted over 10 million albums worldwide.
