X Factor’s Nicole Scherzinger doesn’t think anyone from her Overs category will win
NICOLE Scherzinger doesn't think anyone from her Overs category will win the X Factor.
The former Pussycat Doll singer will see her acts Kevin Davy White, Tracy Leanne Jefford and Matt Linnen perform on the first live shows this weekend.
But speaking to the Daily Star's Big TV magazine, Nicole doesn't think she can win two years in a row, after triumphing with Matt Terry last year.
She said: "I am very competitive and I put a million per cent into everything I do.
"But two years in a row, I don't know about that.
"I have a feeling of somebody that is going to win but they are not in my category."
However Nicole, 39, could have potentially been the mystery contestants mentor after she revealed she had asked producers to change which category she was originally supposed to mentor.
She explained: "I'm upset because the producers were going to give me a category and I said, 'No, I want this one instead.'
"I got what I wanted but I really should have had what they were going to give me.
"But that's OK. It will work out. Everything happens for a reason."
Meanwhile, tonight's live show will only feature three judges as Simon Cowell is forced to miss the first one after falling at his home yesterday.
The music mogul’s absence means Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne’s categories, the boys and girls respectively, will now feature tonight, having originally been planned for Sunday.
A source close to Simon told The Sun's Bizarre column there wouldn't be a replacement judge either, saying: “There were some rumours that Cheryl was going to step in for Simon but this isn’t going to be the case.
“Simon is expected to be fine for Sunday’s show, but right now he needs as much rest as possible – every one knows he’s a workaholic and no one can stop him from returning.
“They’ll switch the singers which means they’ll be panic for some contestants but everyone totally understands.”
