Simon Rimmer gets the boot from Strictly Come Dancing after losing to Mollie King in the dance off
The celebrity chef's American Smooth didn't impress the judges this Halloween weekend, with Craig Revel Horwood only scoring it as a two
SIMON Rimmer is the latest star to be dumped off Strictly Come Dancing following his disastrous American Smooth.
The celebrity chef propped up the leaderboard with 16 after last night's show and his dance off performance wasn't good enough to prolong his time in the competition.
The star lost out to Mollie King and AJ Pritchard whose devilish routine was preferred by the panel.
Speaking after his elimination, Simon said: "It's been the most amazing experience ever. The class of 2017, they're just magnificent people. Karen's (Clifton) just been amazing.
"She's convinced this lumbering 54-year-old bloke he can stand up and dance on a Saturday night."
Karen added: "I've loved every second. It's been a privilege, and thank you for the food."
Craig Revel Horwood pulled no punches when it came to Simon's dance last night, scoring it a lowly two and describing it "like rigor mortis had set in."
Dressed as Batman's nemesis The Joker, Craig was nearly as savage when judging Susan Calman's Game of Thrones-inspired routine, giving it a three.
He infuriated viewers when he said: "I think my ride on mower at home had more grace and elegance."
Writing on Twitter, fans commented: "What is up with Craig tonight?? Seriously.....a 2??? 👿 #Strictly.
"Craig's in a bad mood tonight #strictly #scd.
"Seriously Craig a 2!!!!!!! A 5 is better #Undermarked #Strictly.
"TWO? Oh Craig, get out. I've seen worse. #strictly.
"3? Three? THREE?? Bog off, Craig. #Strictly.
"Oh Craig that was just mean, not constructive criticism at all #rideonmower #Strictly @SusanCalman."
Shirley's Cruella De Vil look appeared to seep into her personality, with Latin queen particularly cutting at times.
Judging Susan's dance, she said: "You know I love you, but for me it lacked grace and elegance... Susan not your best dance for me today. For me, it lacked everything foxtrot is about."
Coming under fire, fans said of Shirley: "#Strictly Shirley doesn't really keep in with the fun element of strictly, seems very harsh with criticism.
"#strictly is Shirley a bit grumpy tonight?
"Has Shirley actually become Cruella? Not seen her this critical before now #Strictly."
