Who is  Julia Hartley-Brewer?

Julia Hartley-Brewer, 49, was born May 2, 1968.

She is an English broadcaster and columnist.

Julia is known for presenting the weekday morning show on talkRADIO.

What happened with her and Jolyon Maugham?

Julia tweeted a link to a newspaper interview he did about his home years before he became a politician.

This was after he had been hit with death threats.

Her tweet caused outrage, with many using the tragic murder of Jo Cox as an example of how dangerous her action was.

The presenter's pinned tweet on the matter reads: "I see the shy and retiring Jolyon Maugham is once again falsely claiming I published his home address to get the attention he desperately needs.

"I didn't. I mocked his pomposity in a tweet that linked to a newspaper interview he did boasting about his home."

She continued: "Other people had already tweeted this same link to him, which was easily available on Google after a cursory 30 second search, as was the interview he did with the BBC all about his home giving its precise address, along with the two magazine interviews, all available online."

"Oh, and Jolyon happily publicised *my* home address when he tweeted out the company accounts of prominent Brexiteer journalists earlier this year, forcing me to change my registered address for my family's security. So those are the facts - feel free to make up your own mind."

Why are people boycotting the BBC?

Jolyon tweeted: "Absolutely despicable of BBC Question Time. A fortnight after Hartley Brewer published the address of my family home, in a week she knew I had received death threats, our notional public service broadcaster puts her on its flagship. Shame on it. Shame on it."

The post collected more than 20,000 times since the announcement came out.

One BBC insider said that Jolyon's tweets have seen a significant spike in complaints ahead of the recording - but only those made over the phone or online would see their views counted.

What else has Julia done in her career?

Julia began her career in journalism at the East London Advertiser in Bethnal Green.

Later she was employed as a news reporter and political correspondent for the London Evening Standard and then joined The Guardian.

In 2000 Julia then moved to the Sunday Express as Political Correspondent, quickly working her way up to Political Editor before leaving in 2011.
