Katie Price postpones ALL dates on her live speaking tour after ‘threats to her family’ and Harvey kidnap plot
The star had seven dates of her tour left to fulfil but has postponed them until next year
KATIE Price has postponed ALL the remaining dates of her live speaking tour.
The former glamour model embarked on the series of gigs in September but had cancelled a number of her recent shows after her son Harvey became part of a kidnap plot.
But now it has been revealed the seven remaining dates of her tour have been postponed until the new year.
Katie was set to appear in Birmingham at the New Alexandra Theatre tomorrow before moving on to Folkestone, Hays, Brighton, Southampton and Newcastle before finishing in Southend on December 16.
However these dates have all been postponed, and on the ATG tickets website, a number of the shows have been rescheduled for spring next year with the first date being at the Theatre Royal in Brighton on March 4.
After cancelling her gig in Wimbledon earlier this month, The Sun Online exclusively revealed the mother-of-five was still terrified over the kidnap threats around Harvey, 15.
At the time she wrote on Twitter: “Due to sudden unforeseen circumstances unfortunately the show for tonight in Wimbledon is cancelled. To my fans I am sorry I won’t be there."
But a friend of Katie’s tells The Sun Online that she’s still worried about son Harvey’s safety after a £50,000 blackmail plot the week before.
“Katie puts on a brave face, but she’s actually very shaken up by the whole thing,” says an insider.
“She’s very vulnerable right now with everything that’s been going on.
“She’s paranoid that something could happen while she’s onstage and she’d never forgive herself.
“Katie doesn’t want to let people down, but she’s frantic with worry over this whole incident.”
Two weeks before this, Katie cancelled a talk in Manchester when an anonymous email warned her that unless she paid £50,000 in cash they’d “smash in” her son’s face.
And they demanded that Katie arrange for the blackmail money to be delivered to an East London address.
Bizarrely, they also demanded a designer Armani dress as part of the deal.
The email, sent to Katie’s management company, is now being investigated by police, who are said to be taking the matter “extremely seriously.”
A source close to Katie added: “This is all the more horrifying for Katie because she has experienced threats against her children before.
“On three separate occasions she has had to get the police involved.
“The thought of anyone harming the kids sickens her to the core, and until the police have caught the perpetrator, she feels she just can’t leave them.
“Katie is really shaken by this and is hoping against hope that the police catch this person as soon as possible.
“She knows they will be living in fear until they do.”
