Zoe Ball pays emotional tribute to late boyfriend Billy Yates six months after his death and thanks fans for their support
ZOE Ball has paid an emotional tribute to her late boyfriend Billy Yates – six months on from his death.
Antiques Roadshow cameraman Billy, 40, was found dead at his South London flat in May.
Zoe, 46, shared a picture of them both looking happy and relaxed.
Writing alongside it, she admitted she is still struggling to come to terms with what happened and thanked her fans for their support.
The It Takes Two star wrote: “6 months today @billwahweewoo ✨✨✨ no time at all, yet so so long to be without you & your wondrous ways, your love, your gorgeous monkey face, your voice, your laughter, your daftness, your glorious commentary on the worlds shenanigans, your mess, your big bear hugs & your dancing feets.
“You are so missed monkey. at times its impossible to comprehend what has happened. But you are at peace, and we can take comfort from that. And we all get a little bit stronger every day. Small steps eh."
She continued: “You are forever in our hearts & always in my pocket Snoops. Keep shining up there for us. Love you beautiful one.”
Thanking those who have supported her throughout the very difficult time, she added: “Thank you to everyone who has reached out in these past few months & sent love or shared their own experiences with me, you have all helped me more than you could ever imagine.”
Zoe started dating Billy after her 18 year marriage to DJ Norman Cook broke down last year.
She has since turned to her ex, who is the father of their son Woody, 16, and daughter Nelly, for support.
A source told The Sun: “Zoe and Norman were spotted enjoying dinner with a small group of friends.
“They looked to be getting on great and there was lots of laughter.
"Despite their split they looked very happy to be in each other’s company.
“While they are just good friends, it’s an amazing achievement considering they have ended their marriage.
“It’s been a very difficult few months for Zoe but Norman has played a massive part in building back up her happiness levels.”
