Female Towie stars ‘bully’ each other on set and refuse to shoot with certain women, former star Georgia Harrison reveals
TOWIE women can make you feel like you’re being bullied, former cast member Georgia Harrison has revealed.
The Love Island star says it happened to Megan McKenna who recently announced she was leaving the show and she added it's happened to others.
Georgia, 22, told the Sun’s Bizarre column some of the girls on there will refuse to shoot scenes with certain women and make some feel alienated.
Speaking at the Rise Of The Footsoldier 3: The Pat Tate Story premiere, she said: “I’ve experienced Towie myself and there are certain girls that can really make you feel ostracised and it’s almost as if they plan it.
“They can make you feel almost bullied.
“If the girls feel threatened and they feel like someone prettier than them, better than them, more famous than them, they’ll try and refuse to film with you or interact you because they feel it will benefit their career.”
Georgia, who was last on the show in 2014, says best friend Fran Parman was subject to the same treatment that Megan has been receiving.
Georgia told the Sun: “I feel that’s what’s happened with Megan. And I can see where she’s coming from.
“She's been put in a corner. She's a good person and she shouldn't be made to feel like she's being pushed out of anything and I hope she returns to it.
“I hope she doesn't let them beat her.
“They did it to Fran and I feel like they’re doing it to Megan.
“It's not the producers, it's the girls. The producers want you to mix in they want everyone to get on well.”
Chloe branded former Ex On The Beach star and country singer Megan “cowardly” for leaving the show before the end of the series.
It followed her messy break up with Pete and rumours she had cheated on him with ex Harry Eden.
MAL-FUNCTION Towie's Tommy Mallet tells show to 'go f*** themselves' after being branded a Megan McKenna bully
Chloe said: “Megan has left Towie to focus on her singing, but she burnt a lot of bridges after splitting up with Pete and wasn’t left with many friends on the cast.
“It’s a cowardly thing to do because she should have seen the series out and tried to make amends so she could leave on a more positive note. It’s safe to say she won’t be missed.”
A Towie representative has been approached for a comment.
