Towie’s Lauren Goodger is NOT back with her jailbird ex Joey Morrisson despite calling herself ‘auntie’ in snap with his pregnant sister
LAUREN Goodger has denied speculation she is back with her jailbird ex Joey Morrison – and says the couple will never rekindle their romance.
The reality star, 31, referred to herself as “auntie LG” in an Instagram post of her with Joey’s pregnant sister this week.
But the former Towie favourite insists that her relationship is still over and she has always been close to Joey’s family.
An insider said: “Lauren has not got back with her ex – and she has no intention of doing so anytime soon.
“She has moved on from Joey for good but is still close friends with his sister and always has been.
“The word ‘auntie’ was used to be affectionate – most of her friend’s children call her that.”
Lauren revealed during her appearance on Channel 5 show In Therapy that she was planning on having a baby with Joey, who’s been in prison since 2008 for possession of a firearm, kidnap and blackmail.
But the pair split because she couldn’t cope with being apart from her ex-lover, whose release date from prison has been pushed back and still remains unknown.
Lauren burst into tears when she appeared on Loose Women earlier this year to discuss her time with Joey.
She admitted that she found their romance "mentally draining" and made it clear then that she had no plans to rekindle.
Speaking to the panel she said: “He wasn’t getting out for another year and I couldn’t wait no more.
“Me going out drinking and him inside, it put a strain on us.
“The pressure of being inside and seeing me going out was pressure on him.
“It was mentally draining, it’s been so hard.”
