Lembit Opik dumped by girlfriend on Twitter after spending the night at George Best’s ex-wife’s house

FORMER MP Lembit Opik was ditched by his girlfriend after spending the night at reality star Alex Best’s house, The Sun can reveal.
The ex-politician was publicly humiliated by Bulgarian lawyer Sabina Vankova on Wednesday when she announced on Twitter she had ended their romance with a damning post.
Furious Sabina, 33, , raged: “Just ended the relationship with Lembit Opik.
“The woman with whom he spent Monday night can have him now all for herself.”
And sources now say the woman at the centre of the row was Alex, ex-wife of football legend George Best, after the pair enjoyed a night out at a pub.
An insider said: “Lembit and Alex had been hanging out at a pub for the evening, the Kingswood Arms in Tadworth.
“They’ve been friends for many years and Sabina knows that, but staying over at her house appears to have been the final straw.
“She is absolutely furious and told him the relationship is over as soon as she found out. She’s livid.
“There have been strains over his friendship with Alex in the past but this was the final straw.”
Lembit and Alex have frequently been out together in London, having met at celebrity events after both competing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here and a string of other reality shows before growing close.
Tweets posted as far back as five years ago show Alex wishing the 52-year-old a happy birthday, and there are many other references on social media to the pair enjoying other nights on the town.
They even appear to have travelled abroad together, with an air hostess posting a photograph with the pair on board a flight in May 2013.
Lembit and Sabina had been in a relationship since summer 2015, after meeting at a party to celebrate Tim Farron’s election as Liberal Democrat leader.
But in 2016 Sabina appeared to lose her patience with Alex, when another Twitter user asked the blonde: “Hi Alex, how is Lembit?”
Sabina quickly snapped back: “And you ask her how is Lembit because? How would she know?”
Representatives for Lembit and Alex failed to comment.
