Gemma Collins and ex James ‘Arg’ Argent kiss on the red carpet at the ITV gala as they move on from failed romance
GEMMA Collins and her ex James 'Arg' Argent proved their friendship is still as strong as ever by putting on a cosy display at the ITV gala.
The Towie stars were more than happy to stop and pose for pictures together at the star-studded event - with Arg even placing a tender kiss on Gemma's cheek.
The past few weeks saw Gemma finally accept her romance with Arg was completely over and after he chose not to join her on a trip to Tenerife.
And Gemma certainly looked refreshed following her sunshine getaway as she wowed onlookers outside the London Palladium on Thursday night.
She looked stunning in a long black gown with featured sheer inserts and a thigh split at the side.
The reality star completed her look with a chic up-do and black dangling earrings, while she wore flawless foundation and a dark vampy lip.
While Arg opted for a burgundy cardigan which he wore over a white shirt and black trousers.
Gemma recently shared several heartfelt posts about the failed romance on Instagram, featuring images of the former couple in happier times.
She explained her reasons in one image caption as she said: "Guys we all have to shut the book in life 💖 just happy times 💖 reflecting on that💖 you just have to say goodbye too but just happy memories💖
"We all started out together 6 years ago and noone outside the Towie bubble will get it but i do love Towie and my friends on the show always it’s been a journey we have all learnt and grown since the show stated our lives have changed 💖"
She continued: "Sometimes you just cling on to memories."
Last week fans of the show saw Arg turn Gemma down as she begged him to jet off to Tenerife with her in a last chance bid at romance.
She was left in tears as he bluntly turned her down, ensuring that the closing scenes of the penultimate episode were a teary affair.
But Gemma has already picked herself up following her heartbreak and has signed up to star in Celebs Go Dating.
The reality star believes the show could be the answer to all her romance woes and she is hopeful she could end up finding her happy ever after.
The series sees relationship gurus Eden Blackman and Nadia Essex dish out love advice to single celebrities before they go on a series of dates with members of the public.
Gemma, 36, is said to be thrilled at the prospect and is prepared to take it very seriously.
