CHAOS as Katie Price screams at Chris Hughes in front of room full of celebs – accusing him of sending her secret texts
KATIE Price sent the ITV Gala into chaos last night when she screamed at Chris Hughes – accusing him once again of sending her secret texts, as they came face to face for the first time since the saga began.
The former glamour model, 39, and Love Island star, 22, were both attending the glitzy industry event alongside ITV bosses and the biggest stars on television, as the broadcaster celebrated the success of the past year while looking forward to an exciting 2018.
But the proceedings were rudely interrupted by mum-of -five Katie who screamed across the audience at Chris when he was called on stage with Kem Cetinay, to recognise the ITV2 show’s incredible achievement over the summer.
As Chris started to speak, a furious Katie shouted “text messages” at a shell-shocked looking Chris, while the rest of the audience looked on horror.
An insider at the bash told us: “Everyone was really excited as Chris and Kem arrived on stage, with their hit single Little Bit Leave It playing in the background.
“But Katie clearly had other ideas about their big moment because as soon Chris started speaking, she shouted ‘text messages’ at him twice.
What does the message on Katie’s phone say?
The first message, which was from Katie, reads: “Oh no why are you having a hard time are you OK anything I can help with xx.”
The person, using the username Chris Hughes, responds: "Just personal stuff xx Something I don't want to bother you.”
The reply from Katie is: “Stuff with work? Olivia? I'm good at giving advice.”
The response is: “Olivia just loves all the media attention and me personally hate it sometimes it's too much.”
“The room – which was full of some of the biggest names in TV and top ITV producers - went completely silent and they started shifting awkwardly in their seats. And just when everyone thought the incredibly awkward moment was over, Katie shouted it again.
“At this point Chris went as white as a sheet because everyone could clearly hear what Katie was shouting. It was so tense and awkward – you could hear a pin drop in there it was so bad.”
The insider continued: “Not surprisingly Chris’ girlfriend Olivia Attwood was pretty upset about the whole thing.”
She was later seen outside being comforted by Gemma Collins, as Chris stood by looking a bit shocked by the evening’s proceedings.
Katie meanwhile headed to the after party where she was seen leaving with one of the messages from Chris clearly displayed on her screen.
The screen had a number of messages, which have previously been seen by The Sun, the first which was from Katie that read: “Oh no why are you having a hard time are you OK anything I can help with xx.”
The person, using the username Chris Hughes, responded: ”Just personal stuff xx Something I don't want to bother you.”
The reply from Katie is: “Stuff with work? Olivia? I'm good at giving advice.”

The star has been embroiled in a debate over the text messages since September of this year.
The saga started after Katie denied sending him flirty messages, only for Chris to share the apparently one sided exchange on social media.
Katie later revealed 52 secret texts that Chris Hughes sent to her on Snapchat behind his girlfriend Olivia Attwood's back, during an exclusive chat with The Sun.
Chris has continued to deny his involvement, even suggesting someone was pretending to be him, while Katie is yet to reveal the full details of the messages.
