Ex-Chelsea and England ace Dennis Wise is latest star to sign up for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here
Bosses hope the footie hardman will add a fiery spark to this year’s ITV series
FOOTIE hard man Dennis Wise will star in this year’s I’m A Celeb.
The ex-Chelsea and England ace, 50, landed Down Under yesterday.
He joked at Brisbane Airport: “I’m visiting relatives. I’ve been to Australia before, but it was many years ago. I’m looking forward to getting a tan.”
ITV chiefs hope the 5ft 5in star, famed for his no-nonsense tackling, will add a fiery spark to this year’s series once it starts a week on Sunday.
A source said: “He was known for his competitive style. Bosses hope he’ll bring that to the show.
“He doesn’t mince words and will have a few opinions that make great telly.”
YouTube vlogger Jack Maynard, 22, arrived in Australia earlier as he too heads for the jungle camp.
Corrie’s Jennie McAlpine and footie Wag Rebekah Vardy will also feature.
