This weekend is set to be full of drama after show bosses made a last-minute shake up and will only be eliminating two acts.

Simon Cowell has stepped in to allow the public more time to get behind their favourite hopefuls.

At the end of last Sunday's live show, Dermot O'Leary announced that FOUR acts would be leaving this weekend.

But now a source close to The X Factor has revealed: "There is some great talent on the show this year.

"Simon thinks it's unfair to cut the numbers so drastically when contestants are doing so well."

They added: "Talent this year is exceptional and with less weeks of live shows producers want to give them more time to shine and more time for the audiences to pick their favourites."

An X Factor spokesperson has told Sun Online: "This weekend's show will feature one act leaving on Saturday and one act leaving on Sunday."

Finalist Matt Linnen revealed that the competition is heating up: "It's tough. The whole thing has been tough but you've just got to do your thing and hope for the best.

The new X Factor tour is epic!

SIMON COWELL has revolutionised this year's X Factor tour.

The all-new puts the power back in the audience's hands, as each night our finalists battle it out for fans' votes just like they do on Britain's most exhilarating TV show.

"When you look around, I've got no idea who is going to go."

One act who will be glad to hear of the shake-up is Lloyd Macey.

Speaking exclusively to Sun Online at the ITV Gala last night, he said: "It's tough and the competition is strong but hopefully I won't be one of the four to go."
