Strictly Come Dancing’s Debbie McGee talks ‘incredible bond’ with dance partner Giovanni Pernice
DEBBIE McGee has praised her Strictly dance partner Giovanni Pernice for making her feel special.
The pairing are regularly topping the leaderboard and delivered this series' first 40 score, and their close bond has even seen romance rumours swirl.

Speaking in the latest edition of, Debbie said: "There’s a magic that is happening. The other dancers take the mickey out of us.
"He really cares, he doesn’t just care about me, he cares about everybody. He makes everyone feel special and that what’s Paul used to do, and that’s what I love about him.
"We’ve laughed about how similar we are. Why does it happen in life? I don’t know. We just have this incredible bond."
Last week the 59-year-old got fans talking when she was spotted greeting the hunky dancer, 27, with a kiss as they headed into rehearsals.

But the dancing hopeful - who is now one of the favourites to win the Glitterball Trophy - has shut down any rumours of the pair being more than "just good friends".
Speaking to the she said: "It's absolutely great people think he fancies me.
"We have a chemistry, a great sense of humour, we both make each other laugh and that has brought us together.
"We have a very special friendship. People see us dancing these sexy routines and then we are pictured having lunch together so assume something must be going on.

"The truth is we really like each other but it isn't a love affair. We love each other, but we are not in love with each other. It's just one of those very special friendships."
She added: "He's 30 years younger than me!"
The dancing duo have grown close over the weeks with their impressive routines – leaving some fans wishing they were more than just friends.

The pictures on Thursday added fuel to the fire as Giovanni was seen pulling Debbie in for a kiss as they met outside rehearsals.
It’s not the first time the pair have enjoyed a smooch – they sent viewers into a frenzy after Paul Daniel’s widow planted a smacker on the Italian professional at the end of their Paso Doble.

Since then viewers of the BBC dancing show have been rooting for the pair to start up a romance – as they continue to go from strength to strength on the dance floor.
One person recently tweeted: “Anybody else want Giovanni and Debbie to become a couple?”

While another wrote: “I'm so loving the rapport between Debbie&Giovanni... I want them to be the next #Strictly romance SO MUCH.”
And someone else added: “My bet is still on Debbie and Giovanni for this year’s strictly romance.”
Meanwhile Giovanni recently gushed about the connection he has with Debbie, saying: "I've got the winning partner, not just in this competition, but for the rest of my life.
"Debbie has to be the best person I've met in this country so far. She is just amazing."
