GIGI Hadid nearly took a nasty tumble as she headed to the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards in New York last night.

The 22-year-old was forced to grab hold of her younger sister Bella, as she got her feet caught in her long gown.

Fortunately, she caught herself just in time and, after having a bit of a giggle over her near miss, she was back looking catwalk ready in no time.

Looking incredible, model Gigi wore a stunning gold dress, featuring kimono sleeves and a high neckline.

The Zuhair Murad FW/16 couture champagne-lace gown flattered her perfectly and she teamed it with cascading curls, bronze make-up and stiletto heels.

Bella, 21, meanwhile opted for a white suit with a silver bodice and her hair pulled back in a sleek ponytail.

Showing she’s the perfect little sis, Bella was more than happy to hold Gigi’s hand as they headed to the venue.

It was a big night for Gigi, who was being honoured as the Supernova at the star-studded bash held at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn.

While boyfriend Zayn, who she has just celebrated two years with, wasn’t there, her mum Yolanda and brother Anwar joined her and Bella.

Speaking prior to getting the award, Gigi said on the Today show: “I mean, I've heard so many good things about the event and every year people show up just to hear what the women have to say and it's always such a powerful and emotional night.

“So I'm so excited and it's such an honor. It's kind of crazy I'm still kind of surprised.”

Serena Williams presented her with the award on the night – admitting she would only ever leave her newborn for Gigi.

She said: "Gigi you are one of the few people on this planet I would leave my baby for — for one night — but for you it shows how much you mean to me. And I want you to imagine the affect you have on the world."

Serena, who gave birth to daughter Alexis in September, added: "She understands that in order to be the best, you have to think like you are the best, work the hardest, and make sacrifices.

"Gigi pushes boundaries. In fact, she makes new boundaries. And she's authentically herself."
