Stephanie Davis reveals she’s returning to TV for the first time since Celebrity Big Brother and chaotic year following bitter split with ex Jeremy McConnell
STEPHANIE Davis has revealed she’s returning to TV for the first time since her stint on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.
The former Hollyoaks actress is getting back to her day job after what has been a chaotic year following her bitter split from Jeremy McConnell, which saw him being found guilty of assaulting her.
She has also welcomed her first child, Caben-Albi, in that time, as well as tragically suffering a miscarriage.
Taking to Twitter to share the exciting news, she told fans: “Looking forward to getting back to work Been a long break. Time to get back to what I'm good at! Filming friday .”
Her fans immediately began speculating that she would be returning to play Sinead on Hollyoaks.
Steph played the role for six years before her contract was terminated in 2015 by producers, with her stating she was fired from the job because she arrived on-set "unfit for work".
Steph denied the claims, and spoke out to slam reports her problems stemmed from booze and her partying antics, and claimed she'd reached "breaking point" over her workload.
But she denied she was returning to the soap, telling one fan: “Haha no everyone is saying that. Sinead might pop back to say hi one day. But for now... no, I'm doing other things.”
The news went down very well with her followers and they took to Twitter to tell her how excited they are.
One wrote: “Your an amazing actress Steph, loved you in Hollyoaks!! Can’t wait to see what’s next!!”
While another added: “Can't wait Steph, hope this is the start of good things to come for youxx”
Stephanie met Jeremy during her time on CBB at the start in 2016. The pair embarked on a tumultuous relationship, during which she had their son.
On August 7, 2017 Jeremy McConnell was has been found guilty of battering Steph in a cocaine-fuelled row.
She has since been trying to rebuild her life and the TV gig is the latest indication that she’s on the right track.
