TAMARA Ecclestone sparked a parenting debate online after she was shown breastfeeding her daughter, three, in bed on her new TV show.
The socialite was seen nursing her little girl Sophia on her reality series Tamara's World last night.
Tamara's lavish lifestyle has been laid bare in a new ITVBe series and she has been shown on TV lying in bed with Sophia and reading her a story while breastfeeding her.
Fans took to Twitter to insist the little girl is too old to still be drinking her mother's milk.
One wrote: "I really love the free thinking @tamaraeccle but... I do think 3/4 is just too old 😬 sorry to anyone that disagrees 😕 #TamarasWorld."
Another tweeted: "breastfeeding at 3 years so fifi can stop when she is ready? Will she only go to school when she is ready? #TamarasWorld."
A third wrote: "Breastfeeding at 3 years old? Really? #TamarasWorld."
However, other fans defended Tamara's decision, insisting it it is perfectly "natural" and shows she has a close bond with her little girl.
One wrote: "#TamarasWorld there's nothing wrong with a mother breastfeeding a 3year is not better then the milks you'll in the shops and breastfeeding it's only natural."
Another added: "No matter what opinion you have of Tamara Ecclestone there’s no denying that their little girl is very loved. Not just with material things but also with attention.
"They are both so devoted to her. What a lovely little family well done Tamara #tamarasworld."
A third tweeted: "There’s no denying Tamara Ecclestone and her daughter have the most amazing mother/daughter bond #TamarasWorld."
Tamara, who is the daughter of Formula One tycoon Bernie Ecclestone, has been open about her decision to continue breastfeeding her daughter past infancy.
Earlier this year, she revealed she still nurses Sophia, who she calls Fifi, four times a day and will continue until the youngster has had enough.
She told : "I never want to battle, to feel I've taken something away from her, so when she decides she is done, it will be the end of that era."
Tamara still breastfeeds Sophia in the morning, once or twice during the day and once in the evening before bed.
She added: "You know your child and you have to do what works for you as a family."
