Strictly Come Dancing viewers slam judges AGAIN for saving ‘favourite’ Debbie McGee after dance off with Jonnie Peacock

Cammell Laird said around 500 jobs would be for local people when it signed the contract to build the ship in Birkenhead, Merseyside.

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have lashed out at the judges again after choosing to save Debbie McGee over Jonnie Peacock in tonight's dance off.

The Paralympian became the eighth celebrity to leave the competition on the results show in Blackpool after failing to impress with his tango.

The judges unanimously chose to save Debbie McGee, who had been seen as a frontrunner in recent weeks, but a comment made by Bruno Tonioli during his deliberations as to who to save that got people's backs up at home.

He said: "Let me say, they both did great jobs, great performances, very different, very effective but I have to save the couple who I think overall is much stronger and for that reason I save Debbie and Giovanni.”

Many were quick to point out the judges are supposed to choose who they want to save based on the dance off alone, not their previous body of work on the show, and that Bruno appeared to have gone against those rules.

Matters were made much worse when they also pointed out if they had applied the same tactics when Aston Merrygold found himself in the dance off a couple of weeks ago, he would have still been in the competition.

Taking to Twitter, one irate viewer wrote: "How can you make that many errors and still be saved? Aston was chucked out on the dance alone so why wasn't debbie? Oh hang on she's the judges favourite and never gets her mistakes picked up on.

"Absolute joke poor johnny a complete novice [sic]".

A fellow viewer added: "So the final decision is only based on the dance off when it suits the judges..." while a third agreed, tweeting: "Tess says scores on the dance off only, then Bruno says on the overall performance!! #makeyourmindupstrictly".

Indeed many felt the judges had overlooked the mistakes they felt Debbie - who danced a samba dressed as Ginger Spice to a Spice Girls medley - had made during the dance off.

One tweeted an  image from Game of Thrones with shame, shame, shame written across it alongside the comment: "Absolute SHAME on the judges. Jonnie was FAR better than Debbie in that dance off, and THAT'S what's meant to be judged!"

They even went as far to create a new hashtag, writing: "#justiceforjonnie #strictly" before tagging all of the judges.

Meanwhile another viewer mused: "What a nice guy Jonnie is & such an inspiration. If judgeed on the dance off why is Debbie still in??"

Others went as far as to say the show was fixed, writing: "Agreed, what a fix, they certainly favour debbie, voted off Aston as they said 'Mollie was the better dancer in the dance off' yet tonight Bruno said 'Debbie is the stronger dancer overall' Never seen such biased voting since strictly started, and as for Shirley..."

Another raged: "Aston has one bad week and the judges put him out of it, debbie has a bad week and the judges keep her cause she's been good in the past. That says favouritism to me, it's really laughable now."
