Ant McPartlin strips off to enjoy a dip in the sea with his bodyguard ahead of the next I’m A Celebrity tonight

ANT McPartlin looked happy and healthy as he hit the beach in Australia today.

The 42-year-old was seen enjoying a dip in the water while his co-star Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali Astall looked on.

Joined by his bodyguard, Ant stripped off and ran into the water where he messed about while dodging the waves.

Wearing a pair of orange swim shorts the presenter, who has spent the summer in rehab, looked in good shape as he frolicked in the water.

Dec clearly wasn’t in the mood for a swim and stood alongside his wife Ali, watching his co-star cool off in the sea, before heading back into camp for another episode of I’m A Celebrity.

Their trip to the beach came after they returned to TV last night with the hotly anticipated latest series of the ITV show.

The presenters won praise from fans who branded the first episode as the "best one yet".

Dec even made numerous jokes about his five month long stint in rehab during the show. 

The presenter entered rehab to deal with his addiction to prescription medication earlier this year, and while some wondered how the duo would address the situation during the opening show, they needn't have worried.

During one link, the pair discussed a model of the camp they had on the table.

Ant pretended to be unimpressed by the replica, saying: "That's it is it? We've been off air a year, a whole year and that's what you've done? That's all you've done?

"Eh? A whole year to make that! It's rubbish man!"

As he nudged it, Dec stepped in and said, "Don't be rough with it, I spent all summer making that, all summer that took me.

"No help from this one".

Dec continued: "Where were you all summer? What were you doing?"

Ant pretended to choke on his drink and shrugged as Dec continued to badger him about his whereabouts.

";Just stuff" Ant replied, "I was just dead busy, dead busy".
