Love Island’s Kem Cetinay admits he’s worried he’s the worst star on Dancing On Ice after seeing their progress
DANCING On Ice’s Kem Cetinay is worried he is falling behind in his training compared to others.
The Love Island star says he has been looking at fellow competitors’ social media posts - like Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown and X Factor star Jake Quickenden - which makes him feel bad.
But Kem, 21, has already managed to perform a “pull through” – although had someone holding him at the same time - with his dance partner Alex Murphy.
Speaking at last night’s Pride of Sport Awards, he told the Sun’s Bizarre column: “Only thing with me is when I worry because I see people are so far ahead.
“But I’m like go at your own.
“I see them upload stuff on Twitter, and they think I’ve got loads in the tank - they’re like ‘he’s not showing off.’”
But his girlfriend Amber Davies has backed him saying: “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”
The Love Island winners also revealed she laughs at his dancing.
Amber, a professional dancer, says she finds men dancing attractive but jokes she doesn’t find Kem’s dancing attractive.
Asked if she found his moves were a turn on: “Let me word this correctly - yes."
Kem added: “She finds dancing attractive but I don't know if she finds my dancing attractive.
“But sometimes I dance and she likes it. She laughs.
“In my head I feel like I've got rhythm.”
Amber joked she would charge “by the hour” to teach Kem how to dance.
The Sun’s Bizarre column revealed the reality star had signed up to the revamped ITV show.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will be returning as presenters with Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean as judges.
It is to be shown on Sundays over 12 weeks.
