THE long wait is over for Marvel fans as Avengers: Infinity War, the third in the series, is in cinemas now.

Is Avengers: Infinity War in cinemas? What was the UK release date?
The action-packed Infinity War was released in the UK on April 26, 2018 and launched in the US on April 27.
Marvel first released the teaser trailer in July 2017 at Disney’s D23 Expo, and at the San Diego Comic Con.
There will also be a fourth film, currently known as Untitled Avengers Squad, which is set to be released on May 3, 2019.
Expectations for Inifinty War are sky high and many predict it will become one of the highest-grossing films of all time.

What is the storyline of Avengers: Infinity War?
The movie is set to unite the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and a number of other Marvel superheroes.
As a result it’s tipped to be one of the company’s biggest blockbusters ever, especially given its £400m budget.
The “goodies” will be pitted against Thanos, a villain that Marvel has been teasing since the post-credit scene at the end of the first Avengers in 2012.
The new film will see supervillain Thanos seeking to wield the power of the six infinity stones that control Time, Space, Mind, Soul, Reality and Power.
The film, which is directed by the Russo Brothers, takes place four years after the second Guardians of the Galaxy film.
The Infinity Gauntet was a six-issue comic series that was published in 1991.
The story will carry onto a third Marvel film in 2019, that doesn’t have an official name as of yet.
What is the runtime of the film and the age rating?
Avengers: Infinity War is the longest Marvel movie yet with a run time of 2hr 40 minutes.
The latest Marvel release is the second most expensive film ever made, costing $300 million dollars.
It is in joint place with Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End and Justice League and is topped only by Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
The film is rated 12A.
