FERNE McCann has admitted she has had to move back in with her mum Gilly after struggling to cope alone as a new mum.
The television presenter recently welcomed her first child, daughter Sunday Sky, after splitting with ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins when he was jailed for an acid attack in a nightclub.
“I’ve moved back into my mum’s house,” Ferne revealed on This Morning.
“I was out for four months and I thought I can’t do this, I’m going to have to move back.”
Ferne also revealed the real meaning behind her daughter Sunday’s name.
The former Towie star has opened up about being a first time mum on This Morning and revealed how Nicole Kidman had an unexpected input into her naming her baby after she became obsessed with Big Little Lies.
Speaking on This Morning, Ferne said: “I wasn’t going to go with a traditional name, let’s have it right.
“There’s a face cleanser with that name and I just loved that sound. I love the tone of it.
“I got obsessed with Nicole Kidman in Big Little Lies and I googled her and saw that she had a daughter called Sunday.”
She also confirmed that her daughter’s middle name is Sky and that she was convinced she was having a girl throughout her pregnancy.
“I was adamant she was going to be a boy,” she added. “I was so shocked when she came out and she was a she. There was a few seconds when Sunday was on my chest and I didn’t even ask.”
Ferne also revealed her worries about not being able to connect with her daughter though thankfully her fears were unfounded.
“Imagine if my baby arrived and I didn’t have that connection,” she said.
“I was concerned but as soon as she arrived the love just grows. I think with me it wasn’t part of the plan to have a baby but you can’t plan life so it just happened.
“I wasn’t the most maternal person but now I’m maternal.”
Speaking briefly about her ex-partner Arthur Collins who was recently jailed for an acid attack in a nightclub, Ferne admitted it had been tough but the pregnancy got her through it.

“For me there was always light at the end of the tunnel. It’s been a turbulent seven months for me. But I had something to look forward to so that was my focus.
“I think for me because I was pregnant I could separate the two, I need to focus on keeping healthy and not keeping stressed. I surrounded myself with friends and family and kept working.”
Ferne also said: “I don’t like the term single mum because I don’t feel like I should be labelled. I’m a first time mum like any kind of mum.”
