HOW LOMAS'T YOU GO?

I’m A Celebrity’s Jamie Lomas tackles spiders, snakes and cockroaches in hilarious Tutankha-Doom trial

JAMIE LOMAS was confronted with crocodiles and creepy-crawlies as he took up the task of the latest Bushtucker Trial.

The Hollyoaks actor brought home six out of seven meals for camp after he became the unwitting centre of a battle between his campmates Iain Lee and Dennis Wise earlier in the episode.

In the trial, called Tutankha-Doom, Jamie was tasked with entering an ancient tomb style maze and collect up to eight stars – ensuring a full set of meals for camp, as well as a drink.

Realising the possibility for a pint, Jamie joked: “I’ll just go for star 8 then.”

During the trial, he was faced with a “hell hole” segment, filled with cockroaches, scorpions, cane toads, lizards and a snake to bag the first star.

He then came face-to-face with crocodiles, spiders and lizards as he continued his way through the maze on his hands and knees.

By the time the klaxon sounded to signify the end of the challenge, Jamie had only managed to collect six stars – missing out on one meal for camp, as well as their added drink.

Returning to the camp victorious, Jamie said: “It was tough, the snakes and that, it’s not nice but that’s what we’re here to do, we’re in the Jungle.

“I think they [the camp] will be happy with 6 out of 7.”

As always, Jamie wasn’t alone in the Egyptian themed trialHe then added that he felt Iain – who also volunteered for the trial but was shut down by Dennis Wise – “would have struggled because he’s a big lad” to make his way through the small walkways.

After discovering Jamie’s win, Iain told the Bush Telegraph: “I didn’t get to do the Trial so we’ll never know how I could have done.

“All I know is that Jamie did absolutely superb and he’ll get two thumbs up from me.”
