ERIC Pollard was left devastated on tonight's episode of Emmerdale after Faith Dingle ended things with him for good.
In tonight's double episode of the Dales soap, Faith flew into a rage at Eric after his involvement in the demolition of the Dingle home was discovered.
Trying to cover his tracks - and prove what Morris was up to - Eric made a desperate bid for evidence and broke into his home to find a laptop containing all the information he needed about the renovators scheme.
However, his plan backfires when Morris comes home and announces that he knew he was in the house thanks to a security camera system hooked up to his phone.
Threatening to reveal the truth, Eric's plans come crashing down on him when Faith walks in just as Morris counters with a threat of his own.
Faith is left raging when she walks in just as Morris reveals that Eric knew about the plan all along - and had even helped with the scheme.
Faith Dingle discovers the truth about Eric Pollard on Emmerdale
Leaving him to walk back to the village himself, Eric is nearly run over by Faith as he tries to explain himself at the Dingle house.
In front of Zak and Lisa, who have created their own picket in an attempt to save their house, Faith confronts Eric about everything.
Trying to rectify things later, Eric goes to see Faith - and finally declares his love for her, but it's too little too late.
Trying to explain his actions, Eric explained that he made the move out of anger after being embarrassed by Cain in the village.
He told her: "I was angry, I was scared. That barn is all I have left of Valerie."
As Faith, who has always felt inferior to his dead wife, snapped back, he told her: "That’s another thing. Please, you have to stop badmouthing her."
He then added: "I love you. Please don’t throw all this away just for one stupid mistake"
Undeterred, Faith said: "Do you think that I’m so feckless that a few fancy words are going to turn my head.
As Eric pleaded with Faith and said that he "didn't want to lose her", the Dingle stood her ground, and said: "Well, I think you’re going to have to get used to the idea, because I now I know what you’re really like.
"I don’t know why I ever really bothered with you. Just go."
As he did as he was told, a heartbroken Faith then collapsed on the floor in tears.
Are Faith and Eric over for good?
