Fans shocked to see Beyonce shopping at US discount store despite being worth £259m
SHOPPERS at a supermarket in the US found themselves rubbing shoulders with pop royalty yesterday, as Beyonce and her mother Tina hit the store.
Spotted wandering around a Target in Southern California, the 36-year-old pop star and her mother were accompanied by the singer’s eldest child, Blue Ivy.
Seemingly not fussed about being spotted, the Lemonade star didn’t even try to go under the radar.
Spotted by members of the public, Beyonce can be seen in snaps looking through the shelves at products.
Wearing a pair of big black shades, the Texan-born star only seemed to draw attention to herself.
The pop star was accompanied by her 63-year-old mother, who was dressed all in black.
Joined by a pal, the singer and her mother took it in turns to push Beyonce and Jay-Z’s five-year-old daughter along in a trolley.
Beyonce’s jaunt in Target may surprise many given the fact she’s worth an estimated £259million ($350million), according to Forbes.
In May the singer featured in the magazine’s ‘America’s Richest Self-Made Women’ list.
However, her combined fortune with husband Jay Z blows the figure out of the water, with the pair’s separate fortunes combining to put them at an estimated $1.16billion.

The star was seen browsing the shelves at the store, but what bargains might have caught her attention?
- The store has a snazzy leopard faux fur coast availabale for just $39.99, a bargain for when the temperature drops
- A snazzy festive velvet jumpsuit in black with mistletoe detailing is a steal at $29.99
- Maybe she was buying Jay Z an early Christmas present. The store has Google’s new Home Mini at the bargain price of $29.99
- Perhaps she was tempted by the discount on the KitchenAid Classic stand mixers, costing just $199.99
- Maybe she was being pratical and was getting a bulk box of 148 Pampers nappies for $31.49 for her baby twins
Bar the news of her ever-growing bank account, the singer has had quite the year.
In the summer she and her husband welcomed twins.
In June the singer gave birth to a girl called Rumi and a boy named Sir.
At the time a source told magazine: “Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends.”
